Pulling down and across your body holds the Triceps under tension through the whole range. The angle is what makes it work. Your upper arm stays locked in place, so nothing but the elbow moves and the Triceps have nowhere to pass the work.

Cross Body Triceps Extension With Bands start and finish positions

Set Up

Anchor: Door anchor at the top of the door.

Bands: Clip a closed ankle strap to both ends of the band and grip the loop with your working hand, fingers inside the loop and thumb outside.

Body position: Stand about three feet from the door with your non working side facing it. Feet wider than hips width, free hand on your hip. Start with your working hand up by the opposite side of your chest, palm toward your body.

Movement

Keeping your upper arm vertical, pull your hand down and across your body until the arm is straight.

Points To Remember

  1. Hold your upper arm vertical and tight to your body as you straighten the arm.
