Chest
Crossover Fly
Want to see how this fits into a real workout? 612 band workouts are free, no credit card, no trial clock. Join free here.
A two arm fly against a single anchor runs out of resistance early, because your hands finish in front of you where the band is barely stretched. Crossing one hand past the other at the end fixes that, adding the range the Chest needs to finish the contraction.
Set Up
Anchor: Door anchor at waist height.
Body position: Grip a handle in each hand and stand three to four feet from the door with your back to it. Back straight, head straight, chest up. Start with your arms up parallel to the floor, elbows slightly bent and drawn back level with your shoulders.
Movement
Bring the handles out and around until your arms meet in front of you, crossing one hand below the other at the end. Alternate which hand crosses on top each rep. Return under control and repeat.
Points To Remember
- Keep the slight bend in your elbows fixed for the whole rep. The angle at the elbow should never change.
