Same joint, different angle. Rotating upward with your elbows held at shoulder height trains the cuff in the overhead position, which is where a shoulder is most vulnerable. Keeping it strong there is most of what keeps the joint healthy.
Set Up
Anchor: Door anchor at waist height.
Body position: Grip a handle in each hand and stand three to four feet from the door, facing it. Bend your arms to ninety degrees with both your forearms and upper arms parallel to the floor. Head straight, chest up, stomach tight.
Movement
Rotate your forearms up against the band until they are vertical. Return under control and repeat.
Points To Remember
- Keep your elbows level with your shoulders as you rotate.
