A mid height anchor puts the resistance straight out in front of you, which is the exact line the rear Delts pull against. It makes the movement feel natural in a way the low anchor version does not, and the tension stays honest from the first rep to the last.
Set Up
Anchor: Door anchor at chest height.
Bands: Clip each end of the band to a closed ankle strap and put your hands through the straps so they rest across the top of your wrists.
Body position: Stand three to four feet from the door, facing it. Feet hips width apart, chest up, head straight. Hold your arms straight out in front of you, parallel to the floor, palms down.
Movement
Pull your elbows back until they are level with your shoulders. Return under control and repeat.
Points To Remember
- Keep your hands relaxed as you pull your elbows back.
- At the end of the rep your upper and lower arm should form a right angle.
