This is the band version of the cable crunch you would do on a weight stack. Kneeling takes your legs and hips out of it, so the only thing that can shorten the distance between your elbows and your knees is your Abs.

Kneeling Abs Crunch With Bands start and finish positions

Set Up

Anchor: Door anchor at the top of the door.

Bands: No set up needed.

Body position: Grip each side of the band just above the clips or handles and kneel about two feet from the door, facing it. Hold your hands close to your forehead with your elbows pointing down and about twelve inches apart. Knees bent, backside resting on your heels.

Movement

Crunch down and forward, driving your elbows toward the floor just in front of your knees.

Points To Remember

  1. Keep your back and head straight.
  2. Hold your elbows about twelve inches apart.
  3. Keep your backside down on your heels throughout.
  4. Breathe out as you crunch.
