Resisted Door Push Up

A push up on the floor asks you to press most of your bodyweight, which is why most people run out of reps long before their Chest is finished. Standing up against a door takes most of that weight out and lets the band supply the load instead, so you set the difficulty rather than your bodyweight setting it. It needs no anchor and no floor space.
Set Up
Anchor: None needed.
Bands: No adjustment needed. Run the band around your back, under your arms.
Body position: Stand facing the door with your toes two to three feet back. Place your palms over the band on each side so there is no slack. Hands about twenty inches apart, fingers pointing up. Back straight, legs straight, head straight.
Movement
Press your whole body away from the door until your arms are almost straight. Bend your arms to let your body travel back toward the door under control, and repeat.
Points To Remember
- Do not let your hips bend forward or back. Hold a straight line from head to heels.
- On the way back toward the door, stop when your elbow is level with your shoulder.
