The rear Delts open the arms out to the side, and that is exactly the path this follows. Band tension rises as your arms travel, so the resistance peaks where the muscle is shortest, which is where a dumbbell gives you the least.

Reverse Fly With Bands start and finish positions

Set Up

Anchor: Door anchor at chest height.

Bands: Clip a handle to each end of the band.

Body position: Grip a handle in each hand and stand three to four feet from the door, facing it. Chest up, head straight, knees slightly bent. Arms straight and pointing at the anchor, elbows at shoulder height, palms facing in.

Movement

Pull the handles back and around, taking your arms from in front of you to straight out at your sides.

Points To Remember

  1. Keep just a slight bend in your elbows as you pull back.
